One year down!

So again I am a horrible wife and I did not blog about our anniversary when it came upon us about mmm... over two months ago! :( but here it is now! Yay! So we started our weekend by going down to Downtown San Diego and stayed the night at the W hotel. We were told it was a fun updated modern hotel and right when we walked in I could see this was true! As we were standing there waiting to check in, I see a guy standing next to me eating a bag of ruffles and it took me a second to realize it was Darrel from The Office! I tried to discrete and get Jeff to realize but hen he walked out and I was able to talk out loud and tell him. I said "I should have asked him for a picture" So we go on and check in then head over to the elevators to go up to our room. As we are waiting I look over and see Darrel walking over to wait next to us. and the words just come out of my mouth. "Can I get a picture with you?" He replies "oh sure" as he rubs his greasy Ruffle filled hands on his jeans. Now here is when I get REAL awkward... I say "We just bought season 7 last night" (We really did) then i throw up a peace sign!!!! All that is going through my head is YOU'RE AN IDIOT! HE'S BLACK!
(You can see the bag of Ruffles in his hand. Ha)
But he was so nice and then we enjoyed a really awkward silent elevator ride together... lets hope I don't run into any really big super stars soon... who knows what I'll do!

We then we went to our room exchanged our presents! :) Then we went out for a nice romantic dinner. Steak! Yum! We walked around the Gas Lamp district and shopped a bit, then stopped and had some oh so good ice cream at the Ghiradelli store! Double Yum! That night we also did the old 1 year anniversary tradition and ate the top of our wedding cake. I really thought it wasn't going to be all that great but Jeffrey's mom put it together for us and put a package of strawberries which ended up working out great since we didn't have any forks so we used the strawberries to eat the cake with! Oh my! It was actually really good! The next day we relaxed and of course shopped and took our time coming home.

It was a great couple of days and I am so grateful to have Jeffrey as my husband I couldn't ask for anything more! Love you Babe!

Mom

So I have to let everyone in on a secret... I'm a mama's girl! I have been SOOOO happy to be back in CA and I can SEE my Mom on a regular basis! Four years away was way too long and hard but I am grateful for that time so I could appreciate and take advantage of the time I have with her...

Love you Mom!!!

Soooo.... WE MOVED!

Holy cow it's been awhile since I have been on here! During this long time of silence me and Mr. Bean picked up and moved to... you guessed it! CALIFORNIA! It was a quick decision but we have been here for three months now and do not have any intentions of going back to Utah. Don't get me wrong. I love Utah. I lived there for four years and spent one year there married to Jeff but four years was perfect! I will not miss the cold weather and snow. It was so great to see the "seasons" and get to experience that but I will take my 80 degree winters from here on out! :)

So I'm trading in these...

For this!!!!

It feels so good to be home!!!!!!

Sundance Full Moon Lift Ride

During the summer Sundance Ski Resort opens up the ski lift on nights when there is a full moon so you and that "Special Someone" can snuggle close together for a chilling 30 minutes and enjoy the view by moonlight! :) Me and Jeff and stopped up at Sundance on our sunday drive through the canyon and decided we wanted to try it out. It ended up being FREEZING! Luckily I grabbed a blanket as I was running out the door. (Jeff was in a Tee shirt, shorts and sandals) But it was great we snuggled close and had a great time! I tried to get some pictures of the view but it didn't work out as well as I thought it would...

4th of July Weekend!

Get ready for a long on folks! So this year me and Jeff had to stay here in Utah for the 4th of July because of my work. (Nordstrom owns my soul) To say Jeff was bummed would the understatement of the year. He grew up spending every 4th of July on the beach with friends, family, surfing and all that fun stuff. So I wanted to make it a fun weekend and do different things than we normally do, and out here in Utah 4th of July is a month long event! so we started off on Saturday the 2nd going to the Freedom Days Festival. Shopping, eating and watching crazy people.

YUM!

Then we went to dinner with a couple of our married friends and rushed over to a golf course to watch the fire works after the Stadium of Fire concert! One of the guys had glow in the dark golf balls so everyone were able to hit a few in the dark!

The fire works were so fun!

Then on sunday we took a really great drive through the American Fork canyon. It was so pretty and the weather was perfect! we stopped for a sec to take a quick pic at the top. It's hard to tell from the picture but the view was beautiful!

So to wrap this post up we went on a couple bike rides, sat by the pool, I ate ANOTHER funnel cake (yum yum) and for dinner we went to the best place we could think of... CAFE RIO! :)

We had an amazing 4th of July together and I can't wait for many many more to come! :)

First attempt!

The black paint on our coffee table was so scuffed and really needed to be painted,. So this weekend I decided that i wanted to paint it from black to white. Jeff wasn't sold on it but let me do it anyway. :) Neither me or Jeff had really done this before with furniture and so we just went with what we thought we should do. I don't think it turned out horrible, I actually really like it! (Jeff needs more convincing...) but we definitely learned a few things that we will do differently next time! Oh! and we still have to do the end table to match it! :)

Before:

And After!!!!!

I painted the knobs silver for now but I am going to replace them with a pretty crystal looking knob!

He got some "super sick" Vans for his birthday!

And for my birthday we went to Cheese Cake Factory in SLC (yum!) and I helped myself to some SHOPPING on our CA trip! :)

I stooped to a new low...

A little bit ago me and Jeff decided that we wanted to get an I pad 2 so that we could skype with our families. I didn't realize that they we impossible to get! We called around to a few Walmarts, Targets and Best Buys and decided the only way we were going to get it was for me to go up to Salt Lake at 6 in the morning and wait in line! So I, along with all the other buisness men, woke up and braved the cold morning and waited in line!!!! It was worth it!!! :)
